The Spring Mills Cardinals Varsity jump on Martinsburg (WV) early and coast to 17-1 win

The Spring Mills Cardinals Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Martinsburg and captured a 17-1 victory on Friday at Spring Mills High School.

With 11 runs in the first three innings, the Spring Mills Cardinals Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Bryant Scheuch and a two-run double by Ben Wright in the first inning and , a two-run double by Cody Hammond, a two-run double by Scheuch, an RBI double by Eli Megargee, a passed ball, and a passed ball during the second inning helped the Spring Mills Cardinals Varsity put some runs on the board early.

Scheuch racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Spring Mills Cardinals Varsity.

Wyatt Stuckey struck out eight hitters en route to the the Spring Mills Cardinals Varsity win. Stuckey allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over five innings.

Farmer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed 11 runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
